Mr. Senaka Weerasooria- [Chairman]

Senaka currently overlooks the Information Technology Cluster of the FINCO Group ( SRI LANKA where he is the Chief Executive of GENESIIS Software Pvt. Ltd. (Software Development Company) Finco Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Systems Integration Company).

An IT and management professional with 20 years management experience in the IT industry in both Australia and Sri Lanka, He has also worked as an IT consultant on World Bank funded ojects.

In January 2006 Senaka was appointed as a visiting lecturer at the Postgraduate Institute of Management, Sri Lanka, in the area of Information Technology.

Dr. Anura Ekanayake, PHD(Econ)

Dr. Anura Ekanayake is a former Chairman of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, a position he has held for many years as well as a former Chairman of the Industrial Association of Sri Lanka a position he held for a period of four consecutive years.

He serves on the Boards of several companies including Hayleys Fibre PLC, Elpitiya Plantations PLC, and Hayleys Exports PLC. These businesses range from finance to agriculture, retail trade, industry and exports. During a professional career spanning three and a half decades, he has held senior positions in both the public sector as well as the private sector. His positions in the public sector included those of Senior Economist of Mahaweli Authority, Director of Planning of Ministry of Plantation Industries and that of Director General Public Administration. During his public sector tenure he also held the position of Chairman Plantation Housing and Social Welfare Trust and a number of other Board positions including those of the Sri Lanka State Plantations Corporation, Janatha Estates Development Board, 23 Regional Plantation Companies, Tea Research Institute and the Post Graduate Institute of Agriculture of University of Peradeniya. He served as the Chairman of the International Natural Rubber Council, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for a two year period.

He holds a B.A. (Econ) Hons. and M.Sc. (Agric) degrees from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka and Ph.D. (Econ) from Australian National University where he studied under a Colombo Plan scholarship. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Professional Managers, Sri Lanka.

Mr. Dammika Ranawana, MBA(UK), EDBA(Uni. Of Colombo) - [Managing Director]

Dammika, who functions as the Managing Director is a debt market specialist with over 25 years’ experience in government and corporate debt.

He was formerly the Managing Director / CEO of First Capital Treasuries Limited, CEO of Nat-Wealth Securities Limited, and Chief Manager of the Peoples Bank – Primary Dealer Unit.

Dammika is responsible for establishing the vision and mission of the Company, developing strategies and their execution. He will report to the board of directors and keep them duly informed and involved with regards to the operations of the Company.

Mr. Mangala Boyagoda, MBA (Ireland)

Mangala is a veteran banker with an in-depth knowledge and exposure to foreign exchange, debt markets and treasury operations. He commenced his career at Bank of Ceylon many decades ago where he rose to the post of Chief Dealer.

Since then he has held many positions some of which are; Managing Director / CEO National Wealth Corporation Limited, CEO Standard Chartered Bank and Senior Vice President DFCC.

He was also a Task Force Member of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Consultant to the World Bank, Consultant Securities and Exchange Commission of Bangladesh, Senior Consultant Central Bank of Sri Lanka, and Member of the Financial Reforms Task Force.

He is currently a Director of Ceylinco Insurance Company PLC, Asset Trust Management (Pvt) Ltd, SAFE Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, Wealth Lanka Management (Pvt) Ltd, Cargills Bank Ltd, Ceylon Leather Products PLC, Sri Lanka Gateway Industries (Pvt) Ltd, Maskeliya Plantations PLC, Colombo City Holdings PLC, Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC, Sierra Constructions Ltd and Ceylon Hotels Corporation.

Mr. Ruwan Cooray

Ruwan started his career at the Bank of Ceylon 4 decades ago and rose to the post of Chief Dealer. He then joined Sampath Bank at its inception in 1987 and held the post of Deputy General Manager – Treasury.

Ruwan currently sits on the boards of Sierra Water Works (Private) Limited, Ekvin Sollutions (Private) Limited and Panawela Industries (Private) Limited.

Mr. Viraj Malawana

Mr. Malawana has a long spanning career in the financial services industry. He held senior positions at Brunei Stock Exchange, HSBC Premier and Standard Chartered Bank and is credited for structuring and creating novel investment instruments tailored specifically for foreign investors into Sri Lanka. He later founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of New World Securities Pvt. Ltd, a trading member of the Colombo Stock Exchange.

Mr. Malawana is currently the Managing Director of the NWS Holdings Group of Companies whilst also sitting on the Board of Directors of Ideal Finance Limited a registered Finance Company under the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Bansei Royal Resorts Hikkaduwa PLC, Strategic Business Innovator Pvt. Ltd, Veritas Holdings Pvt. Ltd, Sushi Bar Samurai Pvt. Ltd and SB Restaurants Pvt. Ltd, a partner company of Jetwing Hotels Ltd. He was also the former Chairman of Bansei Securities Capital Pvt. Ltd, a licensed Margin Provider and currently serves as a Consultant to the company .

His most recent appointments are that of Member of the Advisory Committee to the Ministry of Tourism, specializing in the Japanese tourist segment and Director of the Ministry of Fisheries.

Mr. Ryosuke Hayashi

Ryosuke is the CEO and Managing Director of SBI Ven Capital, leading its business in South East Asia, South Asia and the Middle East. He has been with the SBI Group since 2009 and has been engaged in private equity investments in South East Asia region since 2012.Through his career, Ryosuke brings experience in private and public equity investments, as well as managerial and entrepreneurial expertise in digital media and financial service business.

At SBI, he is in charge of over 10 companies primarily in digital and fintech space, including companies such as Sendo from Vietnam, Jirnexu from Malaysia, and Mfine from India. He has also held directorships in various licensed financial service sectors such as banking, securities brokerage, asset management and international remittance business across Asia and Europe.

Before SBI, Ryosuke launched the Wall Street Journal Japanese language edition as the Managing Director of Wall Street Journal Japan. He was also part of the founding member of Dot Commodity, Inc., which was Japan’s largest online commodities brokerage platform at one time. He started his career in Dentsu, Japan’s largest advertising agency and had shifted to a Japanese hedge fund before receiving his MBA. Ryosuke holds a MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Tokyo.
